This isn’t W for Meagan’s Movie Alphabet but its a nice coincidence.
Hollywood Babylon launched their new season last week in Block T with an exhibition showcasing specially commissioned limited edition screen print movie posters for their upcoming season. 6 artists were given a film from the season and Damn Fine Print printed the posters.
I was asked to create the poster for the big hair classic ‘Working Girl’ starring Melanie Griffith, Harrison Ford, Joan Cusack and Sigorney Weaver.
Each poster is a limited run of 30, €30 and will be available from Damn Fine Print’s website, or you can contact them through their facebook page.
I had a great time working on this project and its proof that I haven’t been neglecting the movie alphabet for no reason :-)
A piece I created for Gallery1988’s newest exhibition ‘YOUNG ADULT, a collaboration with Hello Giggles. The exhibition features an all-female artist line-up, with each piece inspired by the teen-focused literature from the 80′s and 90′s. The Hello Giggles co-creators, producer Sophia Rossi, actress Zoey Deschanel and writer Molly “Molls” McAleer, came up with the show’s theme and helped curate the exhibit.
My piece is titled ’S is for Sweet Valley High’.
